Late Night Theatre and Gallery Openings

To celebrate the arrival of The Manchester International Festival, and summer in general, this week we’ve decided to open up The Galleries until 7.30pm!

That way you’ll have time to visit the fabulous Warhol and the Diva exhibition before taking in The Life and Death of Marina Abramovic, which received 5 stars in today’s Independent. Find out why you’re in for a special night by reading the review in full. In Lowry Favourites some of our LS Lowry galleries have been re-hung. One of the most popular works in our collection, Man Lying on a Wall, is back on display.

We hope to see as many of you as possible here over the summer and look out for more content and ways to get involved over the coming weeks.

Here’s the full list of late night openings during the summer:

Wed 13, Thu 14, Fri 15 & Sat 16 July – in the theatre: The Life and Death of Marina Abramović

Sun 24 & Mon 25 July – in the theatre: Carlos Acosta

Tue 2 August – in the theatre: Mr Stink

Visit www.thelowry.com/exhibitions for all the late nights during 2011.
