Something For The Weekend: Fri 25 – Sun 27 October

1. A Clockwork Orange – Ends Sat 26 October

Last chance to see Action To The Word’s breathtaking all-male version of A Clockwork Orange. An electrifying and testosterone-filled physical theatre ’horrorshow’ that exquisitely captures and transcends the spirit of Anthony Burgess’ original literary masterpiece.

A Clockwork Orange lures its audience into the glorious glass-edged nastiness of Manchester’s underworld. A playtime of orgiastic ultra-violence and sexuality. It is the story of little Alex and his Droogs in their battle against the tedium of adolescence. An unapologetic jubilation of the human condition, it remains as terrifyingly relevant today as when the book was published in 1962 and when the Stanley Kubrick’s film caused a stir in 1971.

Cracking entertainment for everyone over the age of six with some of the best stand-up comedians from the UK and world circuit doing what they do best…but without the rude bits!

‘A highlight for children… giving them a taste of some of the biggest names in comedy with the fun, rowdy feel of a real comedy club.’ The Guardian

As part of Family Arts Festival.
