The Lowry in Salford are offering young men aged 10-25 the chance of a life time to perform alongside professional dancers from Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures Company in their production of Lord of The Flies next April at The Lowry. Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures has produced some of the most successful dance theatre productions of the last 25 years including Swan Lake, Nutcracker!, Cinderella and last year’s sell out hit Sleeping Beauty. Matthew Bourne brings a fresh outlook to storytelling through dance and his work is hugely popular with young people.
Working closely with Re:Bourne who deliver all of New Adventures participation work, The Lowry’s Lord of the Flies Ambassadors Jen Ward and Luke Saville (both NW dance artists) will be delivering a number of workshops in the local area and any young man who is interested in getting involved is more than welcome! You don’t have to have any dance experience at all! Just a passion and commitment for performing! Drop in sessions are being held every Friday evening at The Lowry from 5pm-7pm from Fri 15th November, giving you the chance to find out more about the project and even learn some moves from the show!
