Following 21 back-to-back shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2013, London-based MurleyDance embark on their first UK tour presenting a triple bill programme.
Triple Bill includes: La Peau by David Murley; Five Women Wearing the Same Dress by Gwyn Emberton; and a new première by up-and-coming Australian choreographer Briar Adams. The works cover all aspects of the human flesh from sex to death in Murley’s La Peau, accompanied by British composer Patrick Hawes’s music. And, help one lost individual find out what kind of woman they really are in the midst of a posh wedding in Emberton’s Five Women Wearing the Same Dress. Adams’s new work promises to captivate with her Wheeldon-like movement.
MurleyDance fuse classical ballet and theatrical overtones to provide audiences with a thought-provoking, and often amusing, evening of entertainment.
In the city of Nottingham, a fearsome soldier returns home from war and a feisty young maiden travels towards her uncertain future. Strict laws must be obeyed on pain of death, and an ancient promise must be kept no matter what the consequence. But deep in the Forest of Sherwood, a band of lionhearted outlaws are gathering, ready to do battle in the name of vengeance and love.
A thrilling combination of adventure, comedy, music and daredevil fighting, it promises to be a magical adventure for everyone aged six and above.
Wanted! Robin Hood is a brand new bold adaptation of the classic tale, written by Charles Way whose imaginative and award-winning family plays have been performed all over the world. Director Amy Leach and designer Hayley Grindle were the creative team behind last year’s critically acclaimed production of Arabian Nights and return to produce a magical winter treat for all.
Wanted! Robin Hood contains some scary scenes (and some very funny ones too). Suitable for children aged 6+ only.
Join the multi-award-winning Tony Law for some absurd, shout-y and powerful, yet meaningful, nonsense in this brand new show.
As seen on Have I Got News For You, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, The Alternative Comedy Experience, Charlie Brooker’s Weekly Wipe and more.
Tony is an Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee 2012, Chortle Best Live Show Award winner 2013, Chortle Best Club Comic Award winner 2013 and Chortle Best Breakthrough Act Award winner 2012.
