April is nearly upon us, there is a buzz around the region and Salford as we prepare for the arrival of Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures and Re:Bourne’s new production of Lord of The Flies. With the support of The Lowry and Re:Bourne, Dance Ambassador’s Luke Saville and Sam Broadbent are running workshops in Salford and beyond for young men aged 10-25. We’re searching for those with little or no experience but who have passion and commitment or those with raw talent for the chance to be cast in this exciting new production.
The project to date has attracted boys from a wide range of background, ages and experiences, from experienced dancers to rugby players. Already we have seen a few hundred boys with more to follow in the coming weeks.
“Luke and I are extremely excited about the young men we have seen so far and are stunned by the level of interest and talent across the North West. With a couple more weeks of outreach to go, we are really excited about the audition weekend on 8 & 9 of February.” Stated Sam Broadbent. Audition is by invitation only, following attendance at a workshop or open day.
