A new festival showcasing Salford’s vibrant and creative theatre scene is set to take over the performance spaces of Salford this September.
Flow Salford is a weekend of the vast, the varied and the very new theatre being made in Salford, a city famous for its rich history of performing arts. A diverse range of strictly Salford’s newest talent will take up residency across the city in an exciting mix of cult and brand new venues including The Lowry Studio, The Kings Arms, The Eagle Inn and Salford Arts Theatre from the 19th– 21st September 2014.
Flow Salford will be a chance for locals and visitors alike to discover new talent in Salford. Discover the next big comedian in your community venue, be surprised by something new in The Lowry Studio and find some family fun in your local pub.
Festival organiser Charlotte Mountford says ‘I wanted to create an event that showcased the amazing work being made in Salford. James Baker, Artistic Director of The Kings Arms pub on Bloom Street said ‘The Kings Arms has been an iconic back street destination for the arts over the past 12 years and has always aimed to support the eclectic culture in Salford, from programming anything from music to theatre. It’s exciting for the venue to support such a festival as it underpins our main objective as a venue’
